Above the picturesque village of Valloria and approx. 15 km from the beaches of Imperia, this centuries-old fortified tower, once built against pirate attacks, offers stunning panoramic views over the mountains and valley down to the sea. It is possible to build a swimming pool in its small garden. The former Saracen tower needs to be completely restored, converting the current floor space of approx. 36 sqm into a living space and extending it to approx. 55 sqm net. Estimated approval and planning costs: approx. 15,000 – 20,000 euros.
Divisione
The sturdy tower made of local stones is still in its original state and currently consists of a room on the first floor with a vaulted ceiling, as well as another room on the second floor, which can be reached by an exterior staircase. Next to the entrance on the upper floor, a kind of balcony offers stunning views of the Prino valley all the way down to the coast. The former country garden, protected by a surrounding wall against the wind and curious glances, can be laid out according to your own ideas. A building permit for a swimming pool is possible, which is a rather rare opportunity in this area.

Valloria is a small medieval village situated on a hill in the hinterland of Imperia (municipality of Prelà), with picturesque alleys and wonderful views all the way down to the sea. There is also a nice restaurant and the “Museum of Forgotten Things”. The whole village is a unique open-air museum! Art lovers will find 151 works of art: 151 painted doors. These are stable, storage and cellar doors, painted by internationally renowned artists during the summer festivals that took place in Valloria every year. More restaurants and a grocery store are located in Molini di Prelà (approx. 4 km) and in Dolcedo (approx. 6 km away).
Valloria is about 15 km away from Imperia with its numerous beaches, shops and one of the largest marinas on the Riviera. Imperia boasts the “best climate” of Italy – mild winters and temperate summers. The airports of Genoa and Nice are approx. 100 km away.
