Layout
The cottage is detached on two sides and offers a living area of approx. 100 m² net on three levels. It includes a cellar, and a storage room with a floor space of approx. 20 m² net, a small terrace of about 4 m², and a courtyard of approx. 20 m². The ancient nestled architecture with stairs, niches, old beams and terracotta floors has been largely preserved.
The main entrance from a small alley leads into the entrance hall on the ground floor.
A beautiful slate staircase leads to the first floor, into a living room with a fireplace and access to the small private terrace, where an old olive tree grows. On the same level is a bathroom with a vaulted ceiling and a bedroom, from which a door leads into the storage room and down into the spacious wine cellar.
An internal staircase takes you to the second floor, featuring the master bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a large dining room with an open wooden roof, and a small gallery with a library. From all the windows you can enjoy wonderful views of the hilly landscape, Villatalla, and other picturesque villages. From the dining room, some steps lead down to the kitchen. Just opposite is the exit to the large, sunny courtyard with seating, also shared with the neighbors.
Position
The property is located in the upper part of Tavole, close to a church. By car, you can drive to the front of the house and park next to it. There is a restaurant in Tavole and several bathing ponds in the nearby river. The road to Tavole is rewarded with peaceful tranquillity and good hiking opportunities. Valloria – the village of painted doors – is only approx. 1 km away and Villatalla with two more restaurants and a grocery shop is about 2 km away. About 5 km away from Tavole, the village of Prelà offers a grocery shop, a pharmacy and some restaurants. From Tavole it takes about 16 km or 20 minutes by car to Imperia and its beautiful beaches. Imperia, which offers a marina and all the amenities of a seaside town, also enjoys the best climate in Italy – mild winters and temperate summers!
