Imperia and its hinterland: one of the most beautiful areas in Liguria
The so-called Riviera of Flowers has a lot to offer:
- A pleasant climate all year round. There is nowhere else in Italy with such mild winters and so many hours of sunshine, which is why Imperia has been named the city with the best climate in Italy.
- A successful change between mountains and sea – just a few kilometres inland you can still find very unspoilt mountain villages and hiking opportunities
- Lush vegetation with many types of flowers alternates with the evergreen olive groves. It is not for nothing that the coast is also known as the Riviera of Flowers.
- Imperia has the ‘Bandiera Blu’, which certifies clean beaches and high water quality.
- The proximity to Sanremo, Alassio and Genoa on the one hand, and Monaco and the Cote d’Azur on the other – the French border is just 40 kilometres away
